Hi there!

My name is Kim-Julie and I am the face behind Brussels Vegan, Best of Vegan, The Vegan Reset and The Vegan Challenge. After years of leading an unhealthy lifestyle, I became an ethical vegan in 2011 and soon also discovered the many health benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. As scary as it seemed then, I can now say that is was the best decision I ever made. In 2013, I developed a passion for raw food, which helped me get rid of allergies, chronic migraines, and many other health issues. I started Brussels Vegan and Best of Vegan to show people how easy it can be to change your lifestyle, no matter how hard it may seem in the beginning. In addition to vegan foods, I enjoy doing Yoga, drawing, reading, writing, traveling and spending time with friends and family. Since I know how challenging going vegan can be, I love helping others make the transition. That is why I wrote the book The Practical Vegan and I regularly organize vegan challenges. I am originally from Brussels, but am now based in New York City.

    Hoi Kim-Julie,

Hoe gaat het met je? I just wanted to say the world needs more people like you who are passionate about Veganism and have embraced a vegan lifestyle. I too changed to being vegan many years ago and ever since have been as healthy as I ever have been. Also I am very passionate about animal protection, particularly Cow protection. I have adopted a bull here in Australia – his name is Locana( Lotus eyed one). If you are interested in cow protection there is the most amazing organisation called ISCOWP. Check out www. ISCOWP.org. They have a lovely farm in West Virginia that I visited a couple of years ago. May the sun shine eternally on your soul. Blessings to you!

Hi Julie! I am Grace. I just started being a vegetarian 3 weeks ago. Honestly, my goal is to be vegan by December 2016. I signed up for your challenge but, I was re thinking. I don’t think I ready to be vegan right now. I just started getting off fish, chicken, and cow meat. I don’t want to set myself up for failure by diving in too soon. Right now, I am still having yogurt, milk, and eggs just for protein. However, keep sending me your emails. The more info the better prepared I will be when I do decide to make the leap!

    Thanks xoxo
